Contract Allied Health Position

Description: We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic practitioners with strong interpersonal skills to work with adults, adolescents, and children. Experience working with adults and adolescents will be highly regarded however prior private practice is not necessary. 2-5 days a week, Contract/ Room Hire position. Youth Worker

Location: Chum Creek VIC, Australia

Description: To work with vulnerable young people (aged 7-17 years) in an established Life & Social Skills program based on permaculture principals and animal assisted learning on a small farm in the Yarra Valley. The Good Life Farm grass roots healing and education programs play a major role in helping young people facing challenges in life inclusive of spectrum diagnosis, emotional and behavioral issues, to build rapport and trusting relationships with animals and people while learning new social skills. This position will support young people enrolled in the Life & Social Skills programs to form strong positive personal and social relationships, integrate into the community and move into higher learning and job opportunities. This position will work to lead these programs, with a strong basis on animal assisted learning (AAL), in collaboration with other members of the Good Life Farm team, delivering positive changes to the lives of the participating youth.
