Business Statement Mountain View Counselling Services offers Equine Assisted Therapy and Nature-Based Counselling, set on a peaceful 27 acres in Kobble Creek, just 45 minutes North West of Brisbane. We include both horses and nature in our sessions to support the therapeutic process, with the guidance of our Counsellor and Equine Assisted Psychotherapist. Our founder and lead counsellor, Wendy, is a qualified and registered Counsellor (Australian Counselling Association) and also trained and certified as an Equine Assisted Psychotherapist (Equine Psychotherapy Institute). We offer 1:1 and group sessions to both adults and children to assist with anxiety, depression, PTSD, emotional regulation, understanding patterns, social-emotional issues, separation and divorce, healthy relationships, as well as dealing with a variety of life's challenges. We also work with children and young people in out-of-home care and work in a trauma informed practice. Our practice focuses on incorporating traditional counselling techniques based in the outdoors, suitable for those not comfortable with room-based therapy. If requested by our clients, our 5 horses and ponies offer support during our sessions by offering unique feedback, regulation, and 'see the client as they are' without judgement or expectation.
