Animal Therapies Ltd is delighted to welcome UK HERD Senior Instructor Dr Danielle Mills for a special one-hour online presentation.
This presentation will explore what it means to work in a neurodivergence-affirming way through Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning.
Drawing on the neurodiversity paradigm and non-pathologising practice, Dr Mills will consider how lived experience, sensory awareness, embodiment and relational safety can shape equine-facilitated work.
Through practical examples and case studies, the session will explore adapting practice to support different neurotypes, communication styles, sensory needs and ways of relating—while centring authenticity, co-regulation, meaningful connection and the wellbeing of both people and horses.
